New year, new life. Isn't that what people say? I suppose in general we can say life is the same for us here, right? But that's how it usually goes, not everyone changes countries, kingdoms or whatever there is in your world, each year, do they? It's in the smaller details where things change and new ones come to us.

We're still starting, but does anyone have something new already? Or plan to get something new during this year? I myself have got a girlfriend, the beautiful Ushiromiya Ange, sorry guys but she's out of the market now!

Not really. Minako is his sister so she doesn't count and Haruhi is there for objective reference from a source that is... Neutral, pretty much.

Still, I don't think it's that unusual for a boy to not have as many girl friends

[A small pause. As much as she has kind of a bad track record at gathering information about Minato despite a number of encounters, the combination of the portrait, the name, and the description have her pretty sure she knows who is being talked about.]

But maybe I can talk to him a little if he really is in desperate need of female companionship. I guess I do owe him that much.

I don't know about that, back on Hinamizawa, the village I'm from, I had more girl friends than boy friends.

...Well, maybe it's different where you're from. But where I grew up, boys were more likely to hang out with boys and girls with girls.

I know of him, at least. We've met a few times, but it's usually been under...rushed circumstances. [Like when he's rescued her more than once. Or when he was in Minako's body this time last year.] So I doubt he's that anxious to talk to me yet.

I suppose it was like that back there as well. I just never managed to really hit it well with guys.

[Except to be bullied. Though in Hinamizawa he managed to get friendly with other guys, he still wouldn't call them friends on the same level as the girls.]

It's Minato, he's rarely anxious about anything to be honest. It doesn't mean he won't like it and if you have met before in those rushed circumstances I'm sure he would appreciate being able to properly meet you after so long.

It would be better if he didn't learn about it, yeah. But it won't be the end of the world if he does, I'm prepared either way. The message is sent and I'm already talking with some people about it, even if he learns about this he can't really do much. Unless he pretends to complain about meeting new people or getting to know better those he already knows.

[And getting new Social Links hopefully. And maybe a girlfriend. It's like killing three birds with one stone.]

I guess, when you put it like that, there's not much to complain about. But I'll keep it a secret for now anyway. [Though she might end up hinting at it. Oh well.]

It's not so much as complicated as -- weird. ...Were you here that time when people turned into other people, about a year ago?

I've been here for two years, almost, so yeah. Though I don't remember it clearly right now.

No, we'd met before that. But we hadn't exchanged names until then. ...But I hadn't been really sure it was him until now.

Wow, it sounds almost like a teasing shojo manga.

Either way, I guess it would be good to meet him under...not so strange circumstances.

Yeah, the type in which the fated lovers keep meeting each other without really meeting to the point in which they know of each other but don't know for sure who each other is. Yet they fall in love, but keep barely meeting, and when they finally meet they don't even realize it's each other and just fall in love all over again while haunted at the idea of having stopped loved the other, not knowing that they have been loving the right person all along. Or something like that.

I said it wasn't my main objective, if it happens I won't complain. You won't disappoint anyway, if this serves for you to talk with him and finally get to know each other properly this message won't have been in vain.
